This Pirate Chest - Skull, Anchor and Dagger is hand carved and hand painted in Peru. It made of solid wood and is 4 inches high, 7 inches wide and 10 1/8 inches long. When it is open, the inside compartment is 2 3/8 inches deep, 4 3/4 inches wide and 7 7/8 inches long. The top is attached with metal hinges. Each box is original and no two are exactly the same.
Pirates were famous for stashing booty in various hiding places. Not only did they bury treasure, they kept treasure and valuables in small stash boxes like this one, and tucked it away on the ship for easy access. This Pirate Chest would make a really neat addition to your pirate collectibles. |
