This Pirate Chest - Pyramid Box is hand carved and hand painted in Peru. It has a Pirate Skull and crossbones on three sides and the fourth side is where the hinges are attached. It is 8 1/2 inches high and 7 3/4 by 7 3/4 inches at the base. The interior of the box is 2 7/8 inches deep and about 7 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches at the base. The top has a gem stone attached. Each box is unique and no two are exactly the same. Please see additional photos for more detail.
Pirates were famous for stashing booty in various hiding places. Not only did they bury treasure, they kept treasure and valuables in small stash boxes like this one, and tucked it away on the ship for easy access. This Pirate Chest would make a really neat addition to your pirate collectibles.
